I had a Surprise 40th birthday party for my husband on July 11, 2009. It was in my home and it had a beach flare to it. So it seemed that a Calypso band would be most appropriate for such an affair. After asking many friends and family about a band no one was able to help. So I searched the Internet and found AfriCarib. I was very nervous initially to use them considering I didn't have a referral from anyone I trusted. But, I figured I would give them a call. However, from the minute I spoke to John my anxieties vanished. He was reassuring, professional and totally accommodating. We spoke several times about the music, crowd and musicians that they would be using that night. He always called back immediately and remembered it was a surprise party. They gave themselves extra time for traffic and to set up and didn't bill me until they started playing. From the moment they played I knew I made the right decision. The crowd felt like they were on a Caribbean island and the music put everyone in a good mood. AfriCarib pulled the whole event together. I strongly recommend them for any party.
